Hreflang

An HTML or sitemap annotation that tells search engines which language and regional versions of a page exist, so they can show the right one to each user.

Each language version must list all the others and itself, using codes like en, es or en-GB. Missing return links are the most common hreflang error.

Hreflang is a signal for choosing between versions, not a ranking boost.
